Many Aberdeenshire parents attended last night's NPFS-arranged meeting at Aboyne for the opportunity to listen to Scottish Government Minister Alasdair Allan, along with other national representatives and representatives from Aberdeenshire Council, to learn about, and raise questions on, Curriculum for Excellence in the Senior Phase.

There was a good turnout of Banchory Academy parents, and media interest. The event was the front page story in the Aberdeenshire edition of today's Press and Journal (read transcript here) and was mentioned on BBC Radio Scotland this morning. The Parent Council continues to pursue further media coverage to raise the profile of the debate around implementation.

If you are new to the CfE debate and want to read up on the story so far, click the links in the CfE Campaign panel (top right) to learn more.

We have added a new Documents link there. When you click that link you'll reach a central repository which pulls together an at-a-glance list of the CfE-related documents we've referenced on this website in the past. You may find this useful if you're looking for a specific document.

If you have any comments or feedback from last night's meeting that you would like to share, please contact any of the BAPC members. As one questioner mentioned last night, it is vital that Parent Councils represent as wide a group of their school's parents as possible.
